Many...MANY...Changes...

WOW! A lot has happened since I started this blog before leaving the "promised land" (Indiana), and moving to Kentucky.  For starters I no longer live in KY, or teach for that matter.  Yep, I was cut AGAIN due to budget issues.  Story of my life...  I don't doubt for a second that God has a plan, and that plan is Mary Kay.  Full time Mary Kay www.marykay.com/susanellen is the game plan and career choice for now.  I absolutely LOVE working my Mary Kay business full time.  It really is such a dream!

Besides the big career change, I am also a very happily married woman.  Being married is the BEST job I've ever had.  I love, love, LOVE, being married to Scott.  We were married a year and a half ago in Vincennes on a VERY hot July day.  You can check out our video teaser here http://vimeo.com/44918798 It was such a magical day with all of our favorite people.

One of the best gifts I received the day of the wedding came from Scott.  I received a leash with the promise of a dog.  After a third-times-the-charm scenario, we finally found the perfect dog.  Stewart has been such a blessing to our little family.  We just celebrated his one year adoption day with a family 5K downtown, and a specially made cupcake by his momma.;)  He loves that I'm available during the day, and I love taking him EVERYWHERE I can.  He loves car rides!

Scott is still working at Tuck-Hinton Architects in downtown Nashville.  He loves working their, and we both appreciate their view point on family.  It's hard to believe he's been working their for over two years now.

For now I think this pretty much wraps up our life at the moment.  I sure hope I can keep up and blog at a more regular basis.  Thanks for reading:)

Clarification

Recently, I have heard of a few concerns about the name of my new blog, Hoosier to Hillbilly. Let me clarify and say that I am in no way trying to offend the citizens of Kentucky. However, I also never attended Indiana University, so technically I'm not even a Hoosier...I guess. My uncle would disagree because he says I'm from Hoosierville.:) I just thought that Hoosier to Hillbilly had a really fun ring to it. I was also pretty proud of myself for coming up with it on my own.:) So basically I'm sending this post out to say that this blog is purely for entertainment, and I am in no means trying to poke fun at Indiana or Kentucky.:)

So I think I'll blog...

I am so excited to begin my life as a blogger. I must admit that I have been a blog "stalker" for at least the last year. Sometimes I even read about people that I don't even know, then I get hooked on their lives and continue reading. I also thought I didn't have very many exciting things happening in my life because I'm A) not married B) don't have children (or even a dog) and C) I just really don't think I'm worth reading about...until recently. A few weeks ago I accepted a new teaching position in Bowling Green, KY. No offense to anyone who has or does live in Kentucky, but I have already seen some pretty funny things that I DO think are entertaining enough to read about. Bare with me though because I'm a terrible speller and my grammar will rarely be perfect. I'm not an editor though, so you'll have to forgive me. I hope this blog stuff comes easy to me so I can keep friends and family updated on my new adventure as a hillbilly.:) More to come soon...
